The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to announce the final results for the 2025 Civil Services Examination shortly, providing relief to candidates who have been awaiting the results for an extended period. Once the results are published, candidates will be able to verify their scores by visiting the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. It is noted that the interviews for UPSC 2025 concluded on February 27, 2026, marking an important milestone in the examination process.
In total, 2,736 candidates were selected to participate in the interview phase, which began on January 5, 2026, following the mains examination. The final selection of candidates will be primarily based on their performance in the written mains examination as well as the interview. This competitive examination draws in millions of aspirants each year, though only a fraction of them ultimately make it to the final list of selected candidates.
For the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, a total of 979 positions will be filled across various services including IAS, IPS, IFS, and IRS. The examination occurs in three stages: the preliminary examination, followed by the mains exam, and finally the interview, which tests the candidates' capabilities and readiness for administrative roles in government departments.
