President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has announced that the cashless payment system introduced by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) will be suspended. This decision was conveyed by Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo after a Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The president's directive is intended to alleviate the strain that the existing cashless payment system has placed on citizens, reflecting his commitment to improving the accessibility and usability of payment methods at airports.

Keyamo indicated that the president has asked for a re-evaluation of the current system to ensure it works effectively for all travelers.
