Iran is a major military power with an extensive arsenal of drones, including daily production of Shahed-type UAVs and growing drone capabilities in Venezuela.
Iran ranks as the 14th largest military power globally and possesses a significant drone arsenal, with estimates suggesting it could have around 80,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Notable among these is the Shahed-136 drone, which was recently launched in large quantities in attacks against Israel. The Shahed-136 is also produced under license in Russia as the Geran-2 and is regularly deployed against Ukrainian targets. This demonstrates Iran's expanding influence in drone warfare on multiple fronts.
