On Wednesday evening, Naeem Qassem, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, stated that the organization has launched rockets at Israel in retaliation for the repeated violations witnessed in Lebanon since the ceasefire agreement last November. He emphasized that while Hezbollah has been patient and refrained from responding to Israeli attacks to not hinder ongoing diplomacy, the continued aggression from Israel has tested their limits. Qassem stressed that Hezbollah has adhered to the ceasefire terms while condemning Israel's disregard for the agreement.

During his remarks, Qassem highlighted the severe impact of Israeli aggressions on Lebanon, noting that over 85 villages have been displaced, properties destroyed, and more than 500 citizens killed due to extensive violations, with over 10,000 breaches reported since the ceasefire was established. He framed Hezbollah's resistance as a legitimate response to the ongoing Israeli occupation, asserting that such resistance is justified as long as the aggression continues.

Qassem further asserted that it is the duty of the party to halt what he describes as the dangerous trajectory of continuous Israeli-American aggression, labeling Israel as an existential threat not just to Hezbollah but to their people, their homeland, and the entire region. His comments encapsulate the rising tensions in the region, reflecting both a local and a broader geopolitical significance as the conflict escalates once again, raising concerns over a renewed cycle of violence in the area.
