New world record: "BYD" presents the electric vehicle with the longest range
BYD has unveiled the new Denza Z9 electric vehicle, which sets a world record for the longest range per charge.
BYD has introduced the updated Denza Z9 which boasts impressive advancements in its powertrains, enabling it to achieve a record-breaking range. The high-end version features a large 122.5 kWh battery, allowing it to travel up to 1036 km on a single charge with rear-wheel drive, and 1002 km with all-wheel drive. This new range exceeds the previous record held by the Lucid Air by a significant 76 km.
In addition to its record range, the Denza Z9 also demonstrates increased power capabilities. The rear-wheel drive model is powered by a 496 horsepower engine, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 240 km/h, while the all-wheel drive version boasts an astounding 1140 horsepower and a maximum speed of 270 km/h. These enhancements reflect BYD's commitment to innovation in electric vehicle technology and performance.
Furthermore, there is also an updated plug-in hybrid version of the Denza Z9, featuring a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine combined with three electric motors, generating a total of 858 horsepower. The advancements in battery technology and overall vehicle performance signify a step forward in the competitive electric vehicle market, indicating BYD's strategic positioning to challenge other leading brands in the industry.
