Suspect dies in gunfight with police in MG during search for stolen truck in SP
A suspect was killed during a gunfight with police in rural Sacramento, MG, while they were searching for a stolen truck that had been taken in Franca, SP.
A man, whose identity has not been revealed, was killed in an exchange of gunfire with the Military Police in the rural area of Sacramento, Brazil, on the morning of Tuesday, October 3rd. The incident occurred during an operation aimed at apprehending suspects involved in the theft of a truck in Franca, São Paulo. The stolen vehicle, loaded with irrigation pipes, was tracked to the region after authorities received intelligence suggesting the suspects had fled toward Minas Gerais.
The search was intensified when the Military Police received reports that the stolen truck was traveling along the MGC-438 highway towards Sacramento. Surveillance footage showed that the truck was being escorted by another vehicle. Responding to this information, law enforcement located a group of about six individuals engaged in transferring the truck's cargo into nearby vegetation. The police set up a cordon in the area to prevent their escape.
