A man convicted of murder 20 years ago has appealed to the court after spending 13 years hiding in Ireland following his crime.
The case revolves around M. Civinskas, who, in 2006, fatally shot another individual during a conflict between two groups of youths at a driving range in Palanga, Lithuania. After committing the murder, Civinskas fled to Ireland, where he lived in hiding for 13 years. He was eventually apprehended in 2019 and has since been serving his sentence for the crime. Recently, he has reached out to the courts once more, suggesting a desire to contest his conviction or sentence.
