Russians attack transport and energy infrastructure in Odesa Oblast
Russian forces targeted transport and energy infrastructure in Odesa Oblast, injuring four people, including two children.
On March 4, Russian forces launched an attack on transport and energy infrastructure in Odesa Oblast, resulting in significant damage and injuries. According to Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa Oblast Military Administration, the assault left four individuals injured, including two adults aged 47 and 62, and two children aged 11 and 14. While one adult is reported to be in serious condition, the other injuries are deemed moderate. Emergency services are currently providing necessary medical assistance to the victims.
The attack not only targeted individuals but also caused substantial infrastructural damage, affecting an administrative building, a road, and vehicles in the vicinity of the strike. Kiper emphasized that emergency services are actively responding to the situation, while law enforcement is documenting the incident as another war crime committed by Russia against civilians, underscoring the ongoing humanitarian impact of the conflict.
This incident is part of a broader pattern, with Russian forces reportedly conducting numerous UAV and FPV drone strikes on railway infrastructure throughout March, averaging six strikes per day. The continued targeting of civilian infrastructure raises serious concerns regarding safety and security in the region, particularly as the conflict persists, affecting daily life and the stability of essential services for local populations.
