Suvi Kellokumpu, who held the title of Miss Finland in 1976, has died at the age of 72 in Espoo after suffering from a short illness. Kellokumpu was well-known not just for her beauty queen title, but for her career as a model, which took her all the way to the United States, and later as an entrepreneur, notably founding her own company called Festivo.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Kellokumpu being crowned Miss Finland at the age of 22, which was a significant achievement at the time. Additionally, in the same year, Riitta Väisänen and Maarit Leso were crowned as the first and second princesses, respectively.
