The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is arranging a flight for Finns in the United Arab Emirates – the ticket costs 2,300 euros

The Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing a charter flight from Muscat, Oman to Helsinki for Finns in the UAE at a cost of 2,300 euros per passenger.

The Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced plans to arrange a charter flight for Finnish nationals currently in the United Arab Emirates. Scheduled to operate over the upcoming weekend, the flight will travel from Muscat, the capital of Oman, back to Helsinki. This initiative is spearheaded by Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, who publicized the details on the social media platform X.

Interested Finns can purchase tickets for this flight at a cost of approximately 2,300 euros each. Minister Valtonen emphasized that the price reflects rising insurance costs, which have been a key factor in the flight's pricing. Additionally, potential travelers may incur extra expenses related to reaching Oman prior to the flight. The Ministry has reached out to those registered with the travel notification service to gather preliminary interest in the flight arrangement.

Furthermore, Valtonen reassured that the Ministry will assist Finns seeking to exit Middle Eastern countries, while reminding that primary responsibility for customers falls to the airlines and travel agencies. Ongoing negotiations with Finnair are intended to ensure that Finnish citizens have as many options available as possible, highlighting the government's efforts to support its citizens during challenging times in the region.
