Investigation completed regarding multiple thefts in Panevėžys and Pasvalys districts
A recent investigation concluded into various thefts that occurred in the Panevėžys and Pasvalys districts, involving stolen goods worth over 22,000 euros.
An investigation led by the Panevėžys District Prosecutor's Office has wrapped up, focusing on a series of thefts that took place in the Panevėžys and Pasvalys regions. The stolen items varied widely, including an old car, electric scooters, tools, motorcyclist clothing, and boxes of alcohol. The accused individuals reportedly consumed some of the stolen alcohol themselves and sold off the other stolen items. The prosecution confirmed these details while noting that the investigation was conducted by the Criminal Police of Panevėžys County.
The investigation pinpointed four main suspects, aged between 29 and 52, who are believed to have committed these crimes over several months, specifically from November 2024 to April 2025. Their activities included burglaries from private homes, outbuildings, storage areas in apartment complexes, and even corporate territories. The total value of the stolen and damaged property is estimated to exceed 22,000 euros, showcasing a significant impact on local security and property safety.
These thefts are concerning as they indicate a potential rise in criminal activity within the region, prompting both the local authorities and residents to consider further measures to enhance safety and prevent similar incidents in the future.
