Police carry out over 100 warrants against organized crime in Pará and seven states

The police in Pará have launched a major operation targeting organized crime, resulting in over 100 arrest warrants issued across Brazil.

The Integrated Force Against Organized Crime of Pará (FICCO/PA), in collaboration with the Pará Civil Police, has initiated a new phase of the 'Coalition for Peace' operation aimed at dismantling organized crime rings in Brazil. On October 3, 104 arrest warrants were issued, of which 31 have been executed so far. The operation highlights the ongoing struggle against drug trafficking and criminal organizations operating in various regions of the country, with numerous drugs, phones, and other materials seized during the raids.

The arrest warrants were authorized by the Pará State Court (TJPA) following a request from FICCO/PA and the favorable opinion of the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) from the Public Ministry of Pará. The police focused their efforts on locating suspects in the metropolitan area of Belém, throughout the state of Pará, and in an additional seven states including Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Goiás, and São Paulo. This extensive operation underscores the widespread nature of organized crime in Brazil and the collaborative efforts among law enforcement agencies across multiple states to tackle these criminal networks.

As the operation progresses, it reflects the increasing recognition of the impact of organized crime on public safety and the challenges law enforcement faces in mitigating this threat. The ongoing engagement between various state police forces and legal institutions is essential for effective crime prevention and intervention strategies. Ensuring safety for citizens and restoring order in affected communities is a fundamental priority as the campaign against organized crime continues.
