In the Junior and Youth World Championships taking place in Arber, Germany, young Estonian biathletes Rosibel Marii Kaldvee and Jette Lee Baumann made headlines with their impressive performances, both securing top ten finishes in the sprint event on Wednesday. Kaldvee, at just 17 years old, finished in sixth place with a time of +1.08.1, while 15-year-old Baumann closely followed in ninth with a time of +1.30.0. Despite both athletes having a missed shot in the prone shooting stage, they managed to clear the standing stage without any misses, showcasing their strong skills under pressure.

The competition was fierce, with the gold medal claimed by 18-year-old Slovak Michaela Strakova, who shot all her targets down in a remarkable time of 17.02.5. Norwegian Hanna Völstad and Austrian Selina Ganner took home silver and bronze respectively, with notable performances that added to the excitement of the event.
