Forecast for this Wednesday, March 4: 'Rain with storms' will affect these areas of the country

Ecuador is under a meteorological warning for heavy rains and storms expected across various regions from March 2 to March 6.

Ecuador's National Meteorological Institute has issued Meteorological Warning No. 15, indicating that between the afternoon of March 2 and the morning of March 6, there will be a significant increase in rainfall and storms, notably in the Coastal and western mountain regions. Rain is expected primarily on the afternoon of March 4 in the Sierra and the Amazon regions as well. This warning highlights the severity of weather conditions and encourages citizens to take precautions.

On March 4, heavy rains are anticipated across much of the country, especially during the nighttime and early morning hours in the Coastal region. In the Sierra, rain will predominantly occur in the afternoon, with similar conditions expected in the Amazon region throughout the night. These weather patterns are typical for this time of year, but the severity of the predicted rainfall could lead to potential flooding and other hazards, particularly in low-lying areas.

Temperature forecasts indicate that Coastal temperatures will range from 22°C to 31°C, while Sierra temperatures will be between 8°C and 23°C, and the Amazon region will experience temperatures from 18°C to 33°C. The Galapagos Islands will see temperatures between 23°C and 32°C. Furthermore, the ultraviolet radiation levels are predicted to be high to extremely high, adding to the health risks associated with outdoor activities during this period.
