The Spanish Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, has unveiled a large-scale improvement plan for the C5 Cercanías line in Madrid, which will involve substantial upgrades over the next few years. The project, which is budgeted at 1.35 billion euros, will result in service interruptions during the summers of 2026 and 2028, covering sections between Atocha and Cuatro Vientos, as well as towards Móstoles.
