Paralympic Reference Center in Salvador opens registrations for various modalities

The Paralympic Reference Center in Salvador is offering free training opportunities for young athletes with disabilities aged 6 to 19 in several sports.

The Paralympic Reference Center in Salvador, a collaboration between the Brazilian Paralympic Center and the Unijorge University, has announced the opening of free registration for training young athletes aged 6 to 19 across a variety of Paralympic sports. The center is inclusive, offering sports opportunities for individuals with various disabilities including visual impairment, physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, dwarfism, Down syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. The available sports include athletics, wheelchair rugby, badminton, and several others.

Training sessions will take place at the Unijorge Sports Complex located at the Campus Paralela, which is equipped with a Multifunctional Space for Physical Activities and a Multi-Sports Court. Supervisor Wilson Brito Filho highlighted the importance of these programs in fostering athletic opportunities for youth with disabilities. Interested participants are encouraged to register by emailing the center directly.
