The winner of the Best Essay Award at the 21st Chinese Japanese Composition Contest, Zhu Hengyu, has visited Japan and expressed his desire to study business there.

Zhu Hengyu, a 22-year-old student from Dalian Foreign Language University, won the Best Essay Award at the 21st Chinese Japanese Composition Contest. He visited the Asahi Shimbun Tokyo headquarters on the 4th to share his experiences. During the contest, which was hosted by the Japan Press Association and had media partnership with Asahi Shimbun, Zhu wrote about new Sino-Japanese exchanges born out of the online phenomenon known as "dandan" commenting, where he collaborated with Japanese exchange students to translate this type of commentary from Chinese to Japanese. He highlighted that despite cultural and expression differences, there are points of empathy that can be discovered.

Having enjoyed watching the popular anime "Crayon Shin-chan" since childhood, this is Zhu's first visit to Japan.
