The road around Raknadalshlíð in the Westfjords was reopened this morning after being affected by a snow avalanche that took place the previous afternoon. The avalanche had blocked the route, creating challenges for local traffic and travel in the area. While this segment is now passable, other nearby roads remain closed due to similar conditions, particularly Dynjandisheiði and Kleifarheiði, which continue to pose safety risks.
