Olerex won the court case against Terminal

Olerex won a court case against Terminal regarding alleged violations of biofuel obligations, with the court dismissing Terminal's claims of competitive disadvantage and damages.

In a significant legal decision, the Estonian fuel company Olerex secured a victory in a court case against its competitor, Terminal, regarding allegations that Olerex failed to meet its mandated biofuel obligations in 2022. Terminal claimed that this failure allowed Olerex to sell fuel at much lower prices in the wholesale market, causing them substantial damages initially estimated at around 13 million euros. However, they later reduced this claim to approximately 5.1 million euros. The court ruled in favor of Olerex, stating that there was insufficient evidence to support claims of competitive advantage or that Terminal suffered financial harm due to Olerex’s actions.
