Projects over 1 billion from the Superfund this year

The Superfund in Greece plans to auction projects worth more than 1 billion euros this year, including significant infrastructure and government-related initiatives.

The Superfund of Greece, formally the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), is set to auction off projects with a total budget exceeding 1 billion euros this year, as announced in a recent press briefing by its CEO Yiannis Papachristou and Deputy CEO Panagiotis Stamoulidis. These projects include vital works related to the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE), the Hellenic Police, and the Coast Guard. Major tenders are also in full swing for critical projects such as the relocation of the Korydallos Prison and the construction of the Andreas Lentakis Government Park. This move highlights the Superfund's growing role in facilitating strategic investments in the country.

As part of the ambitious strategic plan for 2025-2027, the Superfund aims to achieve organic profits of about 1 billion euros and distribute 0.7 billion euros in dividends to the Greek government. The projected timeline indicates that in 2026, projects worth about 1 billion euros will be auctioned, further positioning the Superfund as a National Investment Fund for Development. This evolution suggests a shift in the fund's role towards fostering economic growth through structured financing and implementation of strategic projects that are intended to advance Greece's infrastructure and public resources effectively.

With the backdrop of economic challenges, the focus on large-scale public works reflects the government's commitment to revitalizing the economy. The Superfund's strategic investments are expected to not only create jobs but also enhance the efficiency of public services and infrastructure. Such developments could potentially stimulate additional foreign and domestic investment, signaling a positive trajectory for Greece's economic recovery amidst ongoing efforts to improve its financial landscape.
