European allies are reinforcing Cyprus' defense capabilities in response to threats from Iran, deploying various military assets including helicopters, frigates, and fighter jets.
In a significant move to bolster Cyprus' defense capabilities amidst increasing tensions with Iran, European allies, including the UK, France, and Greece, have mobilized various military assets to the region. The UK has sent helicopters equipped with anti-drone systems and the destroyer HMS Dragon to assist in defense measures. Meanwhile, France has announced the arrival of the frigate Languedoc and additional air defense systems, alongside its aircraft carrier, the Charles de Gaulle, which carries a contingent of Rafale fighters and early warning Hawkeye aircraft. Greece, in solidarity, is dispatching four F-16 fighter jets and two frigates, including one fitted with anti-drone technology.
