Daegu city in South Korea launches a year-long trial for autonomous freight transportation services focusing on last-mile and mid-mile deliveries.
Daegu city has initiated a year-long demonstration project for an autonomous freight transportation service, particularly concentrating on middle-mile and last-mile delivery segments within urban areas. This initiative has been backed by a total funding of 1.2 billion KRW, combining government support and local investment, following Daegu's selection for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport's project supporting autonomous driving services in the logistics sector. The project aims to enhance logistics efficiency and assess the commercial viability of autonomous delivery.
