Information to VG: Offered help to the Frogner woman after Høiby violence
Nora Haukland reached out to offer support to a woman from Frogner after experiencing violence from Høiby, acknowledging her own past with him.
Shortly after the violence incident, a woman from Frogner received a supportive message from Nora Haukland, who claimed to have experienced violence from Høiby herself. Høiby has admitted to or partially admitted to several episodes of violence against the Frogner woman. A court case against Høiby is ongoing, with the Frogner woman now set to testify. Haukland, who had a previous relationship with Høiby, sent the message three days after the violent episode in the Frogner apartment on August 4, 2024. In her message, Haukland expressed that she too had been a victim of violence, was aware of Høiby’s behavior, and offered assistance to the Frogner woman amidst her distress, as reported by VG. Haukland explained in court how she began to doubt herself in her relationship with the accused, emphasizing that he never took responsibility for his actions toward her. This was also why she reached out to the Frogner woman to provide support in her difficult situation, according to victim's attorney Heidi Reisvang.
