Pentagon releases photographs of 4 American soldiers killed in Iran war
The Pentagon has identified and released photographs of four American soldiers killed in an Iranian drone strike.
On Sunday, the Pentagon identified four out of six American soldiers killed in an Iranian drone attack and released their photographs. The identified soldiers are Captain Cody Kork (35), Sergeant First Class Noah Titgens (42), Sergeant First Class Nicole Amor (39), and Sergeant Declan Cody (20). All four soldiers were part of an Army Reserve Sustainment Unit in Iowa, designated as the 103rd Sustainment Command, responsible for supplying food, fuel, water, ammunition, and transport logistics. The attack occurred during an assault on a command center located in Kuwait's Port Shuaiba, where an Iranian drone struck, resulting in the deaths of the American soldiers. As of now, the identities of the remaining two soldiers who were also killed in the attack remain unknown. The U.S. military and government officials are recognizing the bravery and sacrifices made by these soldiers in defense of their country, with Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll stating that their sacrifices will never be forgotten. President Donald Trump expressed condolences concerning the soldiers' deaths, noting the tragic reality that there would likely be more casualties before the situation resolves. The context of this incident ties into the broader tension between the U.S. and Iran, with U.S. forces continuing to face risks in the region amidst ongoing military engagements and hostilities involving Iranian forces.
