Woman disappears after leaving Nerópolis to go to Goiânia to get money for her son's treatment
Flávia do Nascimento, a 24-year-old woman, has been missing since leaving Nerópolis for Goiânia to secure funds for her autistic son's treatment.
Flávia do Nascimento, aged 24, has been reported missing for three days after she departed from Nerópolis to Goiânia on Saturday, seeking financial assistance for her son’s treatment. Her son, Jerônimo Augusto do Nascimento, shared that she left home early in the morning and has not returned since. Flávia had been staying at her son’s house the night before her departure, where he dropped her off at a nearby bus stop to catch a ride to the capital.
Living in Nerópolis with her partner, Alessandro Alves, who is a construction worker, and her 21-year-old son, Gabriel do Nascimento, Flávia has been battling challenges related to her health, as she reportedly does not have a job and is under medication for epilepsy. The family's concern has intensified over her unexplained disappearance, especially since she ventured out specifically to seek money for her other son’s treatment, who has autism, raising alarms regarding her well-being and safety in a new city.
The community and family members are actively searching for Flávia, hoping for her safe return while grappling with the enormity of her absence, particularly given the urgent circumstances surrounding her son’s health conditions. This incident highlights not only personal struggles within families dealing with medical issues but also raises awareness about the vulnerabilities faced by individuals during difficult times and the crucial need for support systems.
