On Tuesday, the Federal Police (PF) of Brazil conducted a significant drug disposal operation in Sergipe, incinerating more than a ton of illicit substances. This operation is part of the agency's ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and related crimes within the state. The substances destroyed included 1,170.9 kg of marijuana, 51.5 kg of cocaine, and 2,452 pills of MDA, indicating a substantial crackdown on narcotics in the region.

In addition to the drugs, the Federal Police also destroyed various chemicals that are often utilized in the refinement and preparation of illicit drugs. These included substances like tetracaine, lidocaine, caffeine, nicotine, salbutamol, dichloromethane, and mannitol. Such measures reflect a broader strategy by Brazilian law enforcement to not only tackle the drug trade but also eliminate the resources that facilitate drug production.
