Timma's Gifted Apartment to Sedokova Has Been Sold and the Money Spent, Lawyer States
Basketball player Jānis Timma's gifted apartment to his wife Anna Sedokova has been sold, and the funds have been spent on family needs, according to Sedokova's representative during a court session in Moscow.
In a recent court hearing in Moscow, it was disclosed by Tatjana Stukalova, the representative of Anna Sedokova, that the apartment gifted to her by basketball player Jānis Timma has been sold, and the proceeds have already been spent on family needs. The family lawyer, Margarita Gavrilova, shared a recording of the court session, highlighting that the earnings from the sale of the apartment have been utilized in the last three months without clear documentation of how the money was spent.
During the proceedings, the judge sought to determine the sale price of the apartment, which was valued at 150 million rubles (approximately 1.5 million euros) at the time of purchase, as well as the specific purposes for which the proceeds were used. However, the defense was unable to provide precise answers regarding the amount obtained from the sale and its subsequent usage. This lack of clarity raises concerns about the financial management of the assets and the overall handling of their familial responsibilities.
The court has scheduled a follow-up session on March 19 at 3 PM to further investigate the financial standings of Sedokova, including examining her bank accounts, deposits, and stakes in other assets. This case highlights ongoing financial disputes following the dissolution of the couple's relationship and the implications of asset division in high-profile separations, which may affect the both parties involved emotionally and financially.
