The Athens Stock Exchange underwent a severe downturn for the second consecutive day, with the General Index unable to establish any defenses against the overwhelming selling pressure. Today, the General Index closed down 5.75% at 2,074.42 points, fluctuating within a range of 2,064.30 points (-6.21%) to 2,166.45 points (-1.57%). A notable turnover of 679.6 million euros was recorded, along with a volume of 110.8 million shares, including sales through pre-agreed transactions amounting to 13.4 million shares valued at 123.8 million euros.
