This is how the new Trambus stops will look that will connect the north and south of CABA
The Buenos Aires government plans to construct strategic stops for the new electric Trambus system that will link the northern and southern parts of the city by the end of 2026.
The government of Buenos Aires (CABA) is advancing with the construction of the Trambus, an all-electric transport system that aims to connect the northern and southern areas of the city, significantly reducing travel time. Expected to be operational by late 2026, the project includes the construction of seven iconic bus stops strategically positioned for optimal public transport integration. The stops will act as crucial transfer points for passengers, allowing seamless connections to various forms of public transport.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Mobility, the selected locations are designed to enhance connectivity throughout the city, especially as the Trambus will operate along a dedicated route known as T1. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernize public transportation in the capital and promote the use of electric vehicles, thereby contributing to sustainability goals.
The introduction of the Trambus is expected not only to improve mobility for residents but also to stimulate economic activity and urban development along its route. As the project progresses, it will serve as a model for future transportation innovations in Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities, showcasing a commitment to sustainable urban infrastructure.
