Kiruna Municipality has recently announced the cancellation of a procurement process for a new associate municipal director that was estimated to cost 2.75 million kronor per year. This decision came after revelations from the local newspaper NSD highlighted various irregularities, including an unusually brief preparation time for proposals, set at just 15 days, and concerns regarding the authenticity of the proposal text, which was found to be copied from a previous advertisement. The municipality is now transitioning to a standard recruitment process to find suitable candidates for the role.
