After Assaulting Partner in Front of Their Daughters, Man with Protective Order Is Arrested for the 3rd Time in MG
A man in Brazil was arrested for the third time for assaulting his partner, this time while under a protective order.
A 26-year-old man was arrested in Campina Verde, Brazil, for the third time in three years after violently assaulting his partner, causing injury and trauma. This incident occurred while he was supposed to be adhering to a protective order, which clearly indicates a pattern of domestic violence unresolved by previous legal interventions.
The most recent assault involved the man striking his 21-year-old partner in the ear, leading to an injury that required medical attention. Disturbingly, this attack unfolded in front of their two young daughters aged 2 and 5. The police, recognizing the acute risk to the victim, acted to secure her safety by requesting a preventive arrest for the suspected aggressor to remove him from the situation.
In addition to the physical harm, the investigation revealed that the man had threatened to kill his partner shortly before the attack, further underlining the danger she faced. Despite previous arrests and ongoing semi-open imprisonment, his repeated offenses suggest systemic issues within the legal punitive measures that fail to protect domestic violence victims adequately.
