A 61-year-old man has been arrested in Barroso, Minas Gerais, after being accused of sexually assaulting three of his nieces. The investigation was initiated following a report made by the father of one of the victims, who is currently a 15-year-old girl. The girl disclosed that the abuses began when she was just nine years old and continued until December 2024, coinciding with her visits to her father's house in Barroso, where the sexual abuse allegedly occurred.
According to the Civil Police's findings, the uncle not only offered money in exchange for sexual relations but also engaged in other forms of sexual misconduct. The investigation led to the identification of two additional victims within the family. One of the other nieces reportedly was abused between the ages of 11 and 13, while the third niece, who was between 10 and 15, was forced to watch pornographic content on the uncle's phone and magazines, and was also subjected to unwanted sexual advances given his familial access.
The case raises alarm about familial abuse and the hidden nature of such crimes, highlighting the importance of reporting and legal action in protecting vulnerable individuals. The ongoing investigation continues to uncover more details about the extent of the abuses and the impact on the victims involved.
