Rogério Schneider, a 58-year-old man from southern Brazil, was rescued after spending two harrowing days trapped in a 10-meter deep ravine off the BR-282 highway in Bom Retiro, Santa Catarina. He is currently hospitalized and has been diagnosed with a broken rib and suspected femur fracture. His daughter, Yasmim Schneider, has reported that his condition is stable but complicated, as he also faces psychological trauma from the ordeal.
