Americans are criticizing the state department after an official urged citizens in several Middle Eastern countries to evacuate immediately due to rising security concerns.
A significant backlash has emerged on social media following a post by Moira Namdar, the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, urging American citizens in various Middle Eastern countries, including Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Israel, to leave immediately using any commercial means available. The advisory, which also includes nations like Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Syria, and Yemen, comes amidst escalating security threats due to the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran.
