On the night of Sunday, October 1, a remarkable luminous trail was observed in the sky over Tabatinga in Brazil's Amazonas state. The phenomenon was captured on video by videomaker Lacruz, who noted it as an unusual sight for the area and felt compelled to record it. The footage, lasting about 10 seconds, shows three distinct trails gradually disappearing as they move across the atmosphere.

Astrophysicist Nélio Sasaki, from the Center for Astronomy at the State University of Amazonas, provided insight into the event. He clarified that the object observed did not share characteristics commonly associated with meteoroids. Typically, a meteoroid, when entering the Earth's atmosphere, creates friction with the air, resulting in a luminous trail referred to as a 'shooting star'. Sasaki confirmed that, in this case, the object did not emit the signature brightness and behavior of a meteoroid.

Upon thorough analysis, it appears that the object was space debris rather than a celestial body. This incident not only piqued public curiosity but also raised awareness about the increasing issue of space debris orbiting the Earth.
