In light of recent missile attacks from Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has publicly emphasized its military preparedness and air defense capabilities. Brigadier General Abdul Nasser Mohammed Al-Humaidi, the official spokesperson for the UAE Ministry of Defense, asserted during a government media briefing that the nation is fully equipped and ready to confront any aerial challenges. He highlighted that the UAE maintains the highest levels of military readiness and possesses advanced defense and weapon systems to ensure the security of its borders and citizens, regardless of how prolonged the regional tensions may become.
The spokesperson revealed that since the onset of Iranian attacks, the UAE's air defense systems have successfully dealt with 186 ballistic missiles. Of these, 172 were intercepted and destroyed in mid-air, while 13 missiles fell into the sea, and one missile landed within the country's borders. This proactive approach underscores the UAE's commitment to maintaining a robust defense apparatus amid escalating threats in the region.
