Gasoline ghost limit broken โ€“ here it exceeded two euros for 95E

The price of 95-octane gasoline has surpassed two euros in Finland, attributed to the ongoing conflict between the U.S. and Iran.

The ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran is increasingly being felt at gasoline pumps across Finland, as the price of 95-octane gasoline has now exceeded the two-euro mark. On Tuesday afternoon, the price reached 2.002 euros per liter at at least one station in Lohja, highlighting the rising costs that consumers are facing. Previously, reports from Polttoaine.net and Tankille.fin indicated that some stations had already seen prices for 98-octane gasoline and diesel exceed the two-euro threshold, reflecting a growing concern among drivers over fuel affordability.

Price disparities were notable, with the lowest reported price on Tuesday being 1.712 euros per liter at a Neste station in Vihti. Just the day before, the average prices, according to Polttoaine.net, stood at 1.922 euros for 95-octane, 2.029 euros for 98-octane, and 1.954 euros for diesel. This illustrates a sharp increase within just a few days, further stressing the importance of monitoring fuel prices as they vary greatly across different stations and regions in Finland.
