Silence Moment Calls for Increased Funding for Life-Saving Medications
A public action called 'Silence Moment' will be held on March 5 to raise awareness about insufficient funding for life-saving medications in Latvia.
On March 5, the International Innovative Pharmaceutical Firms Association (SIFFA), in collaboration with hospitals and organizations of doctors and patients, will hold a public action called 'Silence Moment' to draw attention to the insufficient funding for the purchase of life-saving medications. During this event, health sector employees and other interested individuals are invited to observe one minute of silence at 11 AM and raise a yellow card, a symbol of the initiative that serves as a warning about the critical situation in healthcare. The organizers stress that this action is not aimed against any specific institution or official, but rather it is a call for policymakers to find solutions to improve the availability of life-saving medications.
