Breaking: Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson: Our stock of interceptors is not depleted and we have enough to deal with the ongoing threat
Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed that the country's stock of interceptor missiles remains adequate in response to ongoing threats, following recent Iranian missile attacks.
The spokesperson for Qatar's Foreign Ministry, Majed Al-Ansari, stated that the country had not received prior notice from Iran regarding missile strikes aimed at its territory. He emphasized that the recent targeting encompassed the entire state, not just military installations, and asserted that these attacks would not go unanswered. During a press conference, he noted that Qatari forces had issued warnings before intercepting two Iranian warplanes, with ongoing efforts to locate their crews.
Al-Ansari conveyed a message of confidence, claiming that Qatar has demonstrated its resilience against threats. He assured that the Qatari armed forces are on high alert and prepared to tackle any escalation in tensions. He also confirmed that Qatar's stock of interceptor missiles has not been affected and that the nation possesses sufficient capabilities to counter the continuous threats posed by external forces.
Additionally, he reported that Qatar's defense systems successfully intercepted 89 out of 93 Iranian missiles targeting the country amid the backdrop of the ongoing U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran. In interviews with international media, including CNN, Al-Ansari reiterated Qatar's stance on Iranian aggression, highlighting the necessity for preparedness in the face of potential future attacks.
