Currently, it is not possible to send shipments to the United Arab Emirates with 'Omniva'
The shipping company 'Omniva' has temporarily halted shipments to Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE, due to threats from military activity.
The postal service company 'Omniva' has announced a temporary suspension of shipment deliveries to several Middle Eastern countries starting from Tuesday. This includes significant locations such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, as well as Bahrain, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. The company indicated that this restriction applies to all types of shipments and that any accepted shipments that have not yet been dispatched will be stored at 'Omniva's' warehouses until they can be delivered. Meanwhile, any shipments that have already been sent will be delivered to their destinations as quickly as possible, although delays are expected due to the current situation.
The Commercial Director of 'Omniva', Svens Kukemelks, explained that the halting of air traffic to this region is a direct response to threats posed by military activity, leading to the cancellation of many flights. He emphasized that at this time, 'Omniva' cannot guarantee the delivery of shipments to these affected areas. This decision aligns with similar actions taken by other Western countries that have also suspended delivery services to ensure the safety of deliveries until the situation stabilizes.
As a result of this development, customers and businesses relying on 'Omniva' for international shipments to the Middle East will need to seek alternative logistics solutions during this time. The company has taken proactive steps to communicate this disruption and manage expectations regarding delivery timelines while prioritizing the safety and security of its operations and its customers' parcels.
