Photograph of Yoon Seok-yeol Leading the 'Invasion of the National Assembly' Removed from National Assembly
A photograph of former president Yoon Seok-yeol taking the oath at his inauguration has been removed from an exhibition in the National Assembly following concerns over his constitutional violations.
The photograph of former president Yoon Seok-yeol, which was displayed in the underground passage of the National Assembly, has been removed after the Speaker of the Assembly, Woo Won-sik, decided it was inappropriate. The removal follows public criticisms regarding Yoon's controversial declaration of a state of emergency and military mobilization that stifled the National Assembly's operations, an act deemed unconstitutional. The Speaker's office stated that the assembly, as a constitutional body, has a duty to take a clear stance against actions that disrupt the constitutional order, especially in light of recent court rulings confirming Yoonβs unconstitutional conduct during the emergency period.
