TUI Group is expanding its Lakes & Mountains program to include Zakopane, a popular Polish resort, scheduled for 2026 offering competitive prices and unique local attractions.
TUI Group is set to expand its travel offerings to include Zakopane, Poland, as part of its Lakes & Mountains program for the year 2026. This picturesque resort town, nestled at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, is gaining attention for its beauty and affordability compared to other European mountain destinations. According to the British travel industry portal, Travel Weekly, Zakopane has been described as one of the most spectacular yet underrated mountain towns in Europe, appealing to travelers seeking both scenic landscapes and cost-effective travel options.
The new offerings will highlight the unique features of the Zakopane region, including beautiful lakes, wooden chalets, fields of wildflowers, local markets, breweries, and thermal baths. TUI emphasizes that the on-site costs are competitive, with items like a pint of beer and pizza priced at less than 10 pounds. This affordability combined with the charming scenery makes it an attractive option for British tourists, who can enjoy a flight time of approximately 2.5 hours from the UK to this ideal mountain escape.
Travel packages will be available from May to September, departing from 16 airports in the UK, facilitated by partners like easyJet and Ryanair. The introduction of Zakopane into TUI's program aligns with the growing trend of interest in less conventional tourist destinations, showcasing how Polish resorts are becoming increasingly popular among international travelers looking for extraordinary experiences without the premium price tag.
