Tragic accident in Hathras, double-decker bus hits car, 6 dead

A tragic road accident occurred early Saturday morning in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, claiming the lives of six individuals. The incident took place around 4:20 AM near milestone 141 close to Nagla Hariya in the Sadabad police station area. A speeding double-decker bus, traveling from Noida to Gorakhpur, collided violently with an Eco car that was en route from Noida to Agra, causing extensive damage to the car. Of the 16 passengers in the car, six were declared dead at the scene, while the identification of the other victims is underway.
Rescue operations were quickly initiated with severely injured passengers received first aid at a community health center in Sadabad before being referred to Agra for further treatment. The accident caused chaos at the scene, with a large number of people gathering to witness the aftermath, prompting police intervention to manage the situation and commence relief efforts. Superintendent of Police Chiranjivanath Sinha stated that preliminary investigations suggest that the bus driver attempted to overtake at high speed, contributing to the tragic collision.
