Røkke ready for Iditarod: - It will definitely go wrong
Kjell Inge Røkke, at 67 years old, prepares to take on the Iditarod, one of the world's toughest dog sled races, alongside his mentor Thomas Wærner.
Kjell Inge Røkke, a well-known Norwegian businessman, is embarking on one of the most extreme adventures of his life by participating in the Iditarod, the grueling dog sled race that spans 1,160 miles between Anchorage and Nome in Alaska. At the age of 67, he is ready to tackle the challenges of the race, despite acknowledging the severe weather conditions expected, with temperatures potentially dropping to as low as minus 45 degrees Celsius. Røkke is under the mentorship of Thomas Wærner, who won the race in 2020 and has been preparing for this expedition alongside Røkke for the past four years.
