Man drowns after boat capsizes in a section of the Paraná River in Paulicéia

A man in his 40s drowned after his boat capsized in the Paraná River in Paulicéia, Brazil.

A tragic incident occurred in Paulicéia, São Paulo, where a 40-year-old man drowned after his boat capsized in the Paraná River. The incident took place on Monday afternoon when witnesses reported that the victim’s boat turned over around 3:40 PM. The man was alone on the vessel and fell into the river, which is about eight meters deep at that location.

Rescue teams from the Fire Department were called by witnesses who saw the boat capsize, and they raced to the scene. The victim was located approximately two hours later and was found in a state of cardiac arrest. Despite the urgent medical attention provided at the local emergency room in Paulínia, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the hospital.

The Military Police also responded to the scene of the accident, and the victim's family was present to identify the body. This incident highlights the dangers of recreational boating, particularly in deep waters, and serves as a reminder for safety precautions that should be observed while navigating rivers like the Paraná.
