Vilius Gaubas, the top tennis player from Lithuania, is making significant progress towards reaching the elite group of the world's best players. At just 21 years old, Gaubas has achieved a career-high ranking of 101 in the ATP rankings announced on March 2, moving up six spots within a week. This achievement puts him on the brink of being listed among the top 100 tennis professionals globally.

In addition to Gaubas, the ATP rankings include six other Lithuanian players, showcasing the growing presence of Lithuanian tennis on the international stage. Among them, Edas Butvilas holds the 239th position, while retired Ričardas Berankis is ranked 596th but remains on the list. Other players such as Matas Vasiliauskas (1295th), Pijus Vaitiekūnas (1491st), Ainius Sabaliauskas (1594th), and Justas Trainauskas (1856th) also reflect the competitive nature of the sport in Lithuania.

In the women's tennis scene, Lithuania's leading player, Justina Mikulskytė, ranks 246th in the WTA standings, along with other notable players including Andrė Lukošiūtė at 617th and Patricija Paukštytė at 767th.
