On the morning of Saturday, February 28, 2026, dozens of girls arrived at the 'Good Tree' elementary school in Minab, southern Iran, as they prepared for a new school week. Around the same time, the United States and Israel launched their first strikes targeting military and government sites across Iran. These military operations, codenamed 'Epic Fury' by the U.S. and initially called 'Judah's Shield' before being modified to 'Roaring Lion' by Israel, aimed at military infrastructure, command and control centers, ballistic missile launch platforms, and locations of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in various provinces ranging from Tehran to southern areas.
