This incident was confirmed by the State Civil Defense, indicating the need for coordinated relief efforts. Local authorities are responding quickly, with aid trucks from Belo Horizonte on their way to provide humanitarian assistance. The community is facing significant impacts, as 10,000 individuals have been affected by the severe weather, both directly and indirectly.

Lieutenant Rander Nevinton from the Civil Defense detailed the ongoing efforts to assist those impacted, which include cleaning homes and providing shelter. Currently, the displaced individuals are being accommodated in a municipal school, ensuring they have a safe space while recovery efforts are underway. The proactive approach from local officials has helped relocate residents from high-risk areas before the floods exacerbated the situation.

The Civil Defense also indicated that further rainfall is anticipated, increasing the urgency for continued support and preparation for any additional impacts.
