The City Hall of Sorocaba has suspended the municipal guards involved in the fatal incident where a motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle from the Municipal Guard of Sorocaba. This tragic event took place during a pursuit on Friday, the 27th, leading to an immediate investigation by the city's Internal Affairs to assess the actions of the officers involved.

The victim, identified as 23-year-old Matheus de Paula Lima, was reported to have been chased by the guards for not wearing a helmet and popping wheelies on his motorcycle. This high-speed pursuit, captured by security cameras, shows Matheus being hit and dragged by the GCM vehicle, raising serious questions about the use of force and the protocols in place for police pursuits.

Following the incident, Matheus was rushed to the Conjunto Hospitalar de Sorocaba but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
