A 53-year-old man was arrested in Holambra, São Paulo, after being caught in the act of sexually assaulting his wife’s granddaughter, aged 6. The incident occurred at the family home in a rural area, where the child was reportedly left alone with the suspect in the living room while her mother tended to a younger sibling. The assault was discovered by the child’s mother, who entered the room and found the suspect in a compromising position with the girl. The grandmother, who was reportedly under the influence of antidepressants, also witnessed the scene upon waking up.
